The Senior Analyst - Pricing will provide financial and project management support to attorneys for pricing and scoping engagements. You will assist firm management with financial modeling of rate alternatives, supporting analysis related to requests for proposals (RFPs), and tracking engagement budgets, while accomplishing these and other critical functions:
Modelling matter profitability and providing scenario analysis to support pricing decisions for firm management. Providing project management support to attorneys for pricing and scoping engagements. This includes defining project scope, goals, and deliverables and in collaboration with senior global and local management, identifying resources needed to achieve project objectives that support business goals. Researching and identifying existing/historical firm matters that may provide a baseline for billing attorneys in developing budgets for new matters. Designing templates to assist attorneys with establishing budgets. Monitoring engagements on a regular basis and provides reports to management. Overseeing maintenance of Rate Approval Tracking database by inputting key rate approval information. Creating analysis and designing reports/presentations to display pricing trends. Liaising with Finance & Accounting Department staff and other administrative departments to ensure that the correct data is being captured and that the appropriate tools are available to provide accurate and timely reporting. Staying abreast of current and new technologies and market trends providing benefit to the firm. Working with and making recommendations to senior management regarding all functions of the financial modeling platform and current projects. Working with senior management to refine current work processes, develop new tools, and implement new ideas. Providing outreach, promoting the availability of revenue analysis and project management support to the partnership. Working with senior management to formalize the service offering throughout the firm. Monitoring progress against economic targets and goals and initiating follow-up, as needed. Analyzing client performance data to identify client opportunities. Performing ad hoc analyses using the firm’s various data stores and tools. Coordinating with other areas/ departments of the firm where overlap exists to develop efficient procedures/communications to streamline processes and satisfy various department needs. Completing special projects on various issues as needed or when requested by management.
A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field is required. A Master's degree or equivalent in a related field is preferred. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. Six (6) years of financial analysis and/or project management experience is required, preferably in a professional services environment. Experience developing financial analysis/modeling and project tracking/reporting is preferred.
