A global law firm in New York is seeking a senior level marketing professional to lead the Content, Communications and Digital strategy for the Firm. This position will collaborate with the Firm’s leadership team and extended marketing team members in developing and executing the firm’s communications strategy to advance the firm's vision, promote the strengths and success of the firm, and build the firm's reputation as an industry thought leader. Responsible for managing content marketing team and directing/writing/editing a wide range of sophisticated marketing content. Critical role in supporting the Firm’s business development, recruiting, diversity, community outreach, and pro bono initiatives. Ensures client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of the position. Ability to creatively put clients at the center of all marketing efforts, ensuring the highest editorial and brand standards.

Key Areas of Focus:

Lead content marketing team and strategies to raise the profile of the firm and its key practice areas leveraging all relevant interactive channels and automated marketing tools. Research, plan, and execute innovative demand generation campaigns to raise brand awareness, increase website traffic and drive qualified leads. Collaborate with Partners, Business Development, Creative, Public Relations and Events teams to develop and execute a digital communications strategy for new and evolving media, including social networks. Ensure effective visibility and promotion of each content piece/campaign. Create persuasive written and visual content for the purposes of digitally marketing legal practices and numerous clients industries. Project manage and drive schedules and approval processes for marketing campaigns in collaboration with direct reports, marketing team members and other stakeholders. Provide thought leadership in the area of content strategy to help position the firm’s unique enterprise position. Develop multi-form content creation strategies including overarching brand story and evergreen key messages (i.e., blogs, white papers, solution sheets, webinars, videos). Maintain industry contacts to keep informed on leading industry trends, while monitoring the overall landscape for reputational risk for the firm and its clients. Become trusted advisor to C-Suite executives seeking sound communications counsel on managing reputational, brand and/or business impact. Provide writing support and guidance for strategic communications around reputation, crisis, and financial performance for both internal and external audiences. Establish standards for brand voice and style, educate the firm about brand guidelines and ensure adherence across owned, earned and paid channels. Build firm’s brand reputation and resonance among key audiences. Executing a robust internal communications program.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, such as Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or Communications. Substantial experience across all areas of marketing communication, including content marketing, email marketing, social media, blogs, and digital media. Extensive experience managing content marketing and/or marketing communications teams. B2B lead generation management and pipeline development experience strongly preferred. Experience developing lead generating content marketing. Self-starter with a proven track record of running demand generating events and digital campaigns.
