The Sr. Business Development Specialist - Government is responsible for implementing marketing and business development strategies to meet division goals and managing related business development initiatives. The incumbent is responsible for creating and maintaining best practices to enhance the value of the Marketing team to the firm. Assist with implementation and management of short- and long-term business development initiatives. Assist with planning, implementing and managing new business or cross-marketing initiatives. Develop and manage projects in support of initiatives. Track activity of initiatives and key metrics. Review practice group business plans. Develop, implement and manage individual business development plans for division attorneys in accordance with practice group plans. Track and report progress to attorneys and discuss adjustments as required. Conduct qualitative business research and review/summarize results with Marketing Intelligence team, supervisor, and attorneys. Make recommendations regarding business development opportunities. In conjunction with practice group leaders, develop, implement and administer processes and procedures to identify and capture attorney legal and business experience. Ensure client and matter specific case studies are systematically gathered for use in updating biographies and practice group description, preparing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other similar materials. Maintain list of representational clients and matters for attorneys and ensure compliance with firm policies for use of information in marketing materials. Maintain practice related data in the firm’s experience management database. Produce experience reports and ensure accuracy of data. Facilitate the development of content for rankings submissions and other profile raising opportunities.
Bachelor's degree is required with a minimum of 3-5 years of marketing experience in a large law firm.
